That’s right! Today is HALF PRICE MONDAY at the Vic Book Sale! If you were worried you missed the best stuff, you haven’t: we re-stock the tables every day because there just wasn’t enough room for everything on Opening Day!
We’ve moved a few things around on the Main Floor in Alumni Hall but here’s a few shots to show you WHAT’s still available and HOW MUCH is still up for grabs :

Biographies, fiction, even all kinds of vinyl records and DVD’s:
If you head into the Chapel, you’ll find a great display of art & architecture, health, gardening, cooking, reference, musical scores, sheet music, and more!
And yes! Most of the chairs in this beautiful space contain boxes of books just waiting for a new home!

The line-up may have started very early in the morning but that certainly didn’t stop throngs of book-lovers from joining the queue throughout the day even as the temperature soared on this last full day of summer. Can you spot yourself in any of these pictures from the Vic Book Sale’s Opening Day?
The line continued to grow until the doors officially opened at 2 p.m.! It took almost 20 minutes for everyone in line to pass through the entrance but they definitely weren’t disappointed:
Upstairs on the second floor, book-lovers continued to peruse many pages before filling their boxes with cherished prizes:
