Special Collections By Appointment
If you are interested in arranging onsite visits to view archival material from Vic Libraries’ Special Collections, housed at E.J. Pratt Library, please complete our online special collections form.
For general inquiries about our special collections, please contact us through our general ASK US form (we will reply within 2-3 weekdays, Mon-Fri).
We are currently limited to 5 appointments at one time. We will, however, make every effort to accommodate as many requests as possible.

Collection of Personal Information
Victoria University Library maintains a number of special collections in various subject areas. Included in the collections are printed books, manuscripts and papers. Many of the items are catalogued, and inventories and finding aids are available for the manuscript collections.
For inquiries about special collections (archival or manuscript items) we will respond within three weekdays (Monday through Friday, excluding holiday and other closures).
Retrievals of rare books take place 11am and 3pm daily. For same day use, please contact us by phone or in person during operating hours, at least 30 minutes prior to the retrieval time.
Special collections use is available from 9:30 am until 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
Materials in special collections are for use in the Library only and do not circulate.
