Scope and content

Series consists of memorabilia and personal records collected and created by A.J. Bell.  Includes a photograph album of the students and professors from the University of Breslau, a photograph of Bell and a cartoon of him taken from the Bob programme of 1914 (Victoria College production), invitations, programmes from events, souvenir booklets, a personal diary, copies of passports, and three volumes of Latin poetry by W.S.Y.

Series also includes a series of letters belonging to Charles G.D. Roberts and Pelham Edgar.  These letters were possibly purchased by Bell.

Custodial history

The Correspondence between Pelham Edgar and Charles G.D. Roberts contained in Box 3, File 1, was probably purchased by A.J. Bell. The custodial history of the material transferred from Victoria University Archives is unknown.
