The diaries include many newspaper and magazine clippings of current news events.  The personal entries relate to social activities with friends and family, including Augusta Stowe-Gullen, lectures and cultural events, the activities of Frederick Gullen, domestic issues, church related matters, art, theatre, personal philosophy, as well as Agnes Gullen's health.
