Series consists of diaries kept by Agnes Gullen (née Jones), wife of Frederick Gullen, predominantly for the first seven months of 1930, until her weakening from cancer made it no longer possible for her to continue; her husband created the final entries for September-October up to her death. The diaries include many newspaper and magazine clippings of current news events.  The personal entries relate to social activities with friends and family, including Augusta Stowe-Gullen, lectures and cultural events, the activities of Frederick Gullen, domestic issues, church related matters, art, theatre, personal philosophy, as well as Agnes Gullen's health.
