Contains notes made by James throughout the 1780s including notes on moral philosophy used in sermon preparation, rents paid by farmers who used the croft connected to the parish manse for grazing, details of battles in which his sons George and Hugh took part between 1755 and 1768, accounts of gifts and other transactions. Currently in conservation for treatment and rehousing. |
