Scope and content

Series primarily contains research notes on Millgate’s contribution to Sir Walter Scott’s Magnum Opus and the Pforzheimer Manuscripts: essays to commemorate the acquisition of two great collections by the National Library of Scotland, published by the National Library of Scotland in 1986. Also contained in this series is correspondence and a speech given by Millgate at Massey College, University of Toronto, in 1988.
