Administrative History

The Strand is the student newspaper of Victoria University. Its twenty-fifth anniversary was celebrated in 1983, however there were issues published from ca. 1955; a forerunner, Vic Strands, was published by the Victoria College Union Council, 1952-1954. The Strand is published during the academic year by a Board of Directors, and is mandated to purvey news about Victoria University, as well as topics of interest to the student community, and to furnish relevant editorial commentary.
