Extent1.17 m of textual records Administrative HistoryThroughout much of the University's history, matters of alumni and fund raising were managed by the President, Bursar, and Board of Regents. Beginning in 1975, a separate office was created to manage these responsibilities: the Department of External Relations and Development. Minor name changes have occurred since that time in 2002 and the 2010s. A committee of the Board of Regents continues to monitor and encourage matters relating to alumni and advancement. Scope and ContentFonds consists of the records of Larry Davies, the Director of the External Relations and Development Department, primarily outgoing correspondence as well as records documenting the relationship between the Department, alumni, and alumni groups such as the Alumni of Victoria College (AVC) and the Emmanuel College Alumni/ae Association. Records also document fundraising and development activities as well as the planning and hosting of events such as reunions and milestone celebrations.
