Subjects of the correspondence include: faculty hiring, promotion and salaries; student marks, appeals, discipline, financial support, and recommendations for graduate schools, scholarships, and jobs; searches for academic appointments; fundraising; requests for articles; requests for speaking and preaching; work on United Church boards and committees, especially relating to a report on "Christianizing the Social Order" and church publications.
