Administrative History

The Society was organized in 1874, and was originally known as the Jackson Society. Its mandate was to improve the efficiency of Christian work. In 1893, the Society joined with the Literary Association to form the Union Literary Society.

Fonds consists of constitutions; minutes, 1886-1893; treasurer's books, 1888-1894; ephemera; and correspondence.
