Our Reading Garden

Our annual book sale benefits Victoria University Library in a number of ways: development of collections (both general and special: acquiring new materials and preserving rare books and other items), establishing scholarships and bursaries for Victoria College students, and organizing social events and other functions (guest lectures, film screenings, and many others).

In 2012, we contributed to enhancing the landscape in the vicinity of the E.J. Pratt Library. The reading garden, located right outside the main entrance, consists of comfortable benches in a nicely shaded area, with wonderful views of the Vic campus and Queen’s Park Crescent East.

It has proven to be a popular spot with students—since the campus wireless network is accessible in this area, it is possible to pursue library’s online resources and even work on your paper—come to enjoy the reading garden throughout the summer and beyond!
