Mario Pratesi (1842-1921):
A Centenary Commemoration

The Victoria University Library is proud to present Mario Pratesi (1842-1921): A Centenary Commemoration in honour of the 100th anniversary of the death of Tuscan author Mario Pratesi. Presented as part of the University of Toronto 2021 Graduate Students Association of Italian Studies Annual Conference, the exhibit takes a retrospective look at the life of the respected Italian teacher and writer. Using textual documents and photographs from the Mario Pratesi fonds housed in the Victoria University Library Special Collections, the exhibit highlights Pratesi’s relationships with his family and colleagues and offers a glimpse into his literary career.
