Public Lecturer

The 1904 University of Toronto alumni magazine advertised that a number of professors would be prepared to deliver local lectures without charge beyond the payment of traveling expense. Professor Coleman offered to lecture on the following subjects: (1)The Canadian Lakes; (2) The Rivers of Canada; (3) The Ice Age; (4) Mountain Building; (5) The Tooth of Time; (6) Volcanoes; (7) The Conquest of Wild Canada. ("Programme of Local Lectures, 1904-1905," University of Toronto Monthly. Vol. 5, No. 2, (November 1904): 49)

Coleman's archive has preserved Colemans lecture notes in the form of lists of slide illustrations. The talks appear to have been on topics close to his heart, including: "Mt. Robson & the Yellowhead Pass," "Heart of the Gaspé," "The War as Seen from the Orient," "Labrador (1915 and 1916)," and "Swedish Lapland, Norwegian Fiords and Spitzbergen."
