WINTER, AFTER W. E. JONES. 1859

WINTER, AFTER W.E. JONES

A companion print to " Summer ", by the same artist. This print is usually called "The large 'Winter.'" The solid old church, the low thatched cottage, and those who are searching for fuel all seem to indicate that it is Christmas with the woman in the centre carrying the Yuletide fuel.
