Biographical sketch
Anne Tait is a producer, writer, broadcaster and casting director. She was born in Toronto and received a B.A. from Victoria University in 1954, later earning an M.A. at the University of Toronto, 1972. Her work in the entertainment industry—based in Toronto—has included being a casting director of feature films such as Margaret’s Museum, as well as major Canadian and American television series such as Road To Avonlea; she has won two Anik awards, and was nominated for an Emmy. Tait has also hosted her own daily CBC radio program, and the weekly public affairs television series Some of The People. She has written the widely performed play Yeats In Love, as well as producing it for stage and television. The 2009 film “Iron Road” was her first as a co-producer.
